Presentation of two cases of congenital diverticula of the bulbar urethra. The objective of this paper is to discuss the etiopathogenic theories, sings and symptoms, current diagnostic methods and therapeutic indications, and to conclude that this type of diverticula do not present a florid symptomatology, endoscopy being the best diagnostic and therapeutic method. Finally, a review of the literature is made based on two clinical cases.

We have reported a case of double Meckel's diverticulum associated with volvulus of the small bowel. On extensive review of the literature, we found no other report of such a variant of Meckel's diverticulum.

Although Meckel's diverticulum is a relatively common anomaly, inverted Meckel's diverticulum has been reported rarely. We describe a 59-year-old woman with inverted Meckel's diverticulum located at the distal ileum simulating a benign tumor. Computed tomography showed a small mass with a central area of low fat density, and appearance not described previously.

Intraluminal duodenal diverticulum (IDD) is an exceedingly rare congenital anomaly of the foregut. This entity is most frequently discovered incidentally during esophagogastroduodenoscopy; however, patients have reported symptoms of gastrointestinal obstruction, bleeding, or pancreatitis. In this report, we discuss a case of an IDD that was diagnosed during routine upper endoscopy in an adult woman who was referred to the gastroenterology clinic because of unexplained changes in her bowel habits.

Gastric diverticula are the least common diverticula of the gastrointestinal tract. The two main categories identified are congenital and acquired ones. Diverticula of the antrum, prepyloric or pyloric, are extremely rare and usually asymptomatic. We report a diverticulum of the prepyloric region in a patient with a background of peptic ulcer disease and antiplatelet treatment who became symptomatic and was treated successfully with proton pump inhibitors.

We report the case of a 72-year-old man who underwent surgery for a jejunal intussusception caused by an infarcted mass on the antimesenteric surface of the small bowel approximately 90 cm from the duodenojejunal flexure. The specimen was reported as an infarcted diverticulum containing heterotopic pancreatic mucosa in keeping with infarcted Meckel's diverticulum. We initially wished to establish when the term "Meckel's diverticulum" should be used. A congenital diverticulum of the small intestine is a condition with only a low morbidity and is generally a Meckel's diverticulum. There is, however, another congenital malformation, which can closely resemble a Meckel's diverticulum, but has another etiology, the tubular duplication of the small intestine. Giant colonic diverticulum is an uncommon presentation of colonic diverticular disease. It is characterised by the presence of a diverticulum exceeding 4 cm in size, with approximately 90% of the cases involving the sigmoid colon. Unlike acute diverticulitis, giant diverticulum larger than 4 cm is a rare entity with few cases described in the literature. We present a case of a 66-year-old male patient diagnosed with colonic diverticulosis.
