Chloroethane, bromoethane and ethylene oxide represent a unique set of chemicals that induce endometrial neoplasms in the uterus of B6C3F1 mice following an inhalation route of exposure. The results of the NTP's chronic bioassays with these three compounds resulted in an unusually high incidence of uterine epithelial neoplasms in B6C3F1 mice (chloroethane 86%, bromoethane 56%) and a lower incidence for ethylene oxide (10%). ARID1A and PI3-Kinase (PI3K) pathway alterations are common in neoplasms originating from the uterine endometrium. Here we show that monoallelic loss of ARID1A in the mouse endometrial epithelium is sufficient for vaginal bleeding when combined with PI3K activation. This study compares the clinicopathologic features of 13 pure uterine papillary serous carcinomas (UPSC) with 19 tumors consisting of UPSC admixed with other types of endometrial carcinoma and nine UPSC associated with endometrial polyps. BACKGROUND: This study quantified the risk of urinary bladder neoplasms in cancer patients taking into account the age at first diagnosis, the gender of the patients and the lead time between diagnoses.

INTRODUCTION: Adenofibroma is a rare benign Müllerian mixed tumor composed of epithelial and mesenchymal cells. This tumor may occasionally be associated with toremifene therapy which is used as an adjuvant drug for breast cancer.
CASE PRESENTATION: We describe a case of a 55-year-old woman with adenofibroma of the endometrium. This patient was receiving toremifene after surgery and neoadjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer. She underwent a total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingectomy. There was no evidence of tumor residual or recurrence at 32 months of MRI follow-up.
