In this case report, we present occurrence of bilateral angle closure glaucoma in a 9-year-old girl with geleophysic dysplasia. Bilateral YAG laser iridotomy was applied, but intraocular pressure (IOP) remained at high levels, necessitating bilateral trabeculectomy with mitomycin C. On her follow-up examinations for 3 years, IOP remained in the mid-20s with no need for further intervention or antiglaucoma medication. PURPOSE: To report acute angle-closure glaucoma associated with albuterol nebulizer treatment.
METHODS: Case report and review of the relevant literature.
RESULTS: In a 75-year-old woman with asthma, acute angle-closure glaucoma in the right eye was probably caused by local absorption of albuterol after nebulizer administration.
CONCLUSION: As albuterol is widely used in the management of patients with asthma, increased awareness by health care professionals of the potential for acute angle-closure glaucoma secondary to albuterol may decrease the incidence of this complication.

We report the case of a patient with narrow angles who had an attack of bilateral acute angle-closure glaucoma precipitated by dexfenfluramine, a serotoninergic drug developed for appetite suppression. Although the exact mechanism remains uncertain, the pupillary block observed in our case may be the result of the serotoninergic or indirect parasympatholytic properties of the drug on the iris sphincter muscle. Serotonergic psychoactive drugs should be prescribed cautiously in patients with known narrow angles and should be monitored by an ophthalmologist.

56 eyes of primary angle-closure glaucoma were performed peripheral iridotomy with the domestic JYZ-1 Model YAG laser microruptor. The success rate was 100%. On the average, the number of laser shots was 5 (3.6-31) times, the shot energy was 212 (171-961) mJ, and the follow-up was 3.57 months. Postoperatively, the IOP was lowered by 2.43 mmHg. the use of hypotensive drugs diminished, and the index of chamber angle closure improved. The immediate operative complications were IOP elevation, iris bleeding, and anterior uveitis, which responded well to treatment.

Twelve patients with iridoschisis in one or both eyes were studied to determine the clinical features of the condition and to examine the relationship of iridoschisis to primary angle-closure glaucoma.
