The aim of this study was to identify diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) patients at risk for the development of a hard-to-heal wound. OBJECTIVES: To assess the applicability of a standardized multidisciplinary protocol for managing placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) disorders and its impact on the outcomes.
METHODS: We compared patients with PAS manage by a standardized multidisciplinary protocol (T2) to historic controls managed on a case-by-case basis by individual physicians between (T1). The primary outcome is composite maternal morbidity. Secondary outcomes were the rates of surgical complications, estimated blood loss, number of blood products transfused, intensive care unit admissions, ventilator use, and birth weight.

INTRODUCTION: Nusinersen is associated with an improvement in motor function in children with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) but data on respiratory muscles strength are scarce. Respiratory muscles performance and lung function were evaluated in children with SMA 1c and 2 after six injections of nusinersen (M14). BACKGROUND: Massive transfusion protocol (MTP) has been widely adopted for the care of bleeding trauma patients but its actual effectiveness is unclear. BACKGROUND: Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis is a cytokine-driven inflammatory syndrome that is associated with substantial morbidity and mortality. Overall survival in adult patients with secondary haemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis remains suboptimal, and novel therapeutic strategies are needed. The phosphorylation-dependent activation of the Janus family kinases JAK1 and JAK2 are hallmarks of the final common pathway in this disease.
