PURPOSE: To evaluate the impact of using drop application strips on eye drop instillation in glaucoma patients on chronic topical ocular hypotensive therapy.
METHODS: A total of 72 patients with primary open-angle glaucoma with an uncorrected visual acuity of 3/60 or more, self-administering topical antiglaucoma medication for >1 year were evaluated. One eye of each patient was included in the study. Patients were instructed to instill 0.5% carboxymethyl cellulose drop in 1 eye. OBJECTIVES: The aim of this study was to clarify the chronic toxicological effects of indium-tin oxide (ITO) and indium oxide (In(2)O(3)) on laboratory animals.
METHODS: Male Syrian golden hamsters were intratracheally administered 3 mg/kg or 6 mg/kg of ITO particles, or 2.7 mg/kg or 5.4 mg/kg of In(2)O(3) particles, containing 2.2 mg/kg or 4.5 mg/kg of indium, twice a week, for 8 wk. Control hamsters were given vehicle of distilled water only. The hamsters were euthanized serially up to 78 wk after the final instillation and the toxicological effects were determined.

OBJECTIVES: To present experience on the diagnosis and treatment of urethral condyloma acuminatum (CA) in male patients.
METHODS: Twenty-one cases of urethral CA were studied. The lesion of urethral meatus and intraurethal were resected by electrofulguration or operation and Urethroscopy, respectively. All patients were received intraurethral instillation and local therapy of 5% 5-fluorouracil solution.
RESULTS: The patients had been followed up for three to twelve months. Cure rate was 76.2%, recurrence rate was 23.89%.
