The literature on the psychological precursors and outcomes of cancer and the role of the surgeon and nurse in the psychological management of early breast cancer, is briefly reviewed. OBJECTIVES: This study examines coping mechanisms that mitigate anxiety in nursing home workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on resilience, life satisfaction, and sense of coherence.
METHODS: A cross-sectional design included 449 nursing home professionals in Puerto Rico. Participants completed validated questionnaires assessing life satisfaction, resilience, the three dimensions of sense of coherence, and anxiety symptoms.
