This report reviews 48 patients who from 1979 to 1994 were treated at the Norwegian Radium Hospital for newly diagnosed noncerebral extragonadal malignant germ cell tumour (EGGCT). Based on histology and/or serum tumour markers, 12 patients had a seminoma and 36 a non-seminoma. Extranodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma is a rare and aggressive extranodal non-Hodgkin lymphoma. These evidence-based recommendations for natural killer/T-cell lymphoma by the American Radium Society were developed by a multidisciplinary panel of medical and radiation oncologists to propose treatment approaches. This guideline was based on a literature review with a consensus methodology to rate the appropriateness of treatment recommendations for each natural killer/T-cell lymphoma clinical presentation. Six variants highlight the recommended treatment strategies.

Ra-226 was measured by alpha-emission spectroscopy in water, sediments, and fish (tissues and gut contents), from five lakes in a watershed containing U mining and milling operations at Elliot Lake, Ontario, and from control lakes in an adjacent non-industrialized watershed.
