Blepharospasm is a rather rare disease characterised by cramps of the orbicularis oculi muscle. The quality of life of patients suffering from this illness is often severely reduced. The therapeutic approaches reported in the literature have so far not been satisfactory in most cases. In the mid'-seventies a new operative technique has been introduced by Walser and modified by Behbehani. Parkinson disease (PD) is, without doubt, a burden on modern society as the prevalence increases significantly with age. Owing to this growing number of PD cases, it is more critical than ever to understand the pathogenic mechanisms underlying PD to identify therapeutic targets. The discovery of genetic mutations associated with PD and parkinsonism paves the way toward this goal. However, many clinicians have trouble … e gradually exacerbated over time, and antiparkinsonian medications were dosed up. At 69 years old, blepharospasm and AEO developed. Although other antiparkinsonian medications did not improve her AEO, THP cured AEO dramatically at 73 years old. In this report, we discuss a mechanism of AEO by Parkinsonism and the pathway of THP for the improvement of AEO.

The 2 patients with oromandibular dystonia and blepharospasm demonstrated a reduction of 95% regarding these symptoms. The present study confirms the effectiveness of pallidal DBS in a new family with hereditary primary segmental and generalized dystonia.

A case of conjunctival lymphoma in a 4-year-old Siberian husky is reported. A large red mass protruding from the conjunctiva of the upper eyelid of the right eye was present.
