A 21-year-old man developed hypopituitarism, with symptomatic hypogonadism and diabetes insipidus (DI), as well as uveitis, retinal vasculitis, and papilledema in association with systemic sarcoidosis. A suprasellar tumor was demonstrated by computed tomography (CT). Although ophthalmic symptoms disappeared with prednisone and the DI was controlled with Desmopressin (DDAVP), the hypogonadism did not improve with human menopausal gonadotropin (HMG) and human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG). In long-term follow-up, the hypogonadism unexpectedly resolved.

Reproductive condition was studied in 6 infertile men with pericentric inversion of chromosome 9. Semen analyses revealed one azoospermia, one oligozoospermia, three asthenozoospermias and one normozoospermia. Four cases showed normal levels of plasma gonadotropins and testosterone. Five cases of trisomy 16 confined to the placenta have been detected by invasive procedures (amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling) after high-risk results for Down syndrome and neural tube defects in a maternal serum screening programme of 6614 consecutive cases. Tumors of the pineal region (TPRs) are rare neoplasms that are surgically challenging to resect. Conventional treatment strategies are available, but gamma knife radiosurgery (GKRS) is an alternative approach. OBJECTIVE: We sought to evaluate a conservative treatment modality, angiographic uterine artery embolization (UAE) followed by immediate curettage, in the treatment of cervical pregnancy.
STUDY DESIGN: Sixteen patients with cervical pregnancy were first treated by UAE to control or prevent vaginal bleeding. Curettage of cervical canal was performed immediately after UAE to remove gestational tissue from the cervix.
