We report the nanostructuring of multilayer MoS2 surfaces caused by diamond tips indenting and cutting through a few tens of monolayers (ML) in ambient air. The resulting wear damage increases by an order of magnitude or more when the cutting alignment is rotated from the zigzag (ZZ) to the armchair (AC) crystallographic direction, while keeping the loading conditions unchanged. The anisotropy of structural distortion of the monoclinic polymorph of acetaminophen induced by hydrostatic pressure up to 4.0 GPa was studied by single-crystal X-ray diffraction in a Merrill-Bassett diamond anvil cell (DAC). 75 consecutive cases of mid-shaft femoral fractures were treated by open intramedullary nailing, using the solid, diamond-shaped Hansen-Street nail. The average age was 32.5 years; road accidents accounted for 43 cases; average operative time was 40 minutes. 20 months ago, 204 eyes have been operated for radial keratotomy. 175 cases of myopia varying from 2 to 6 diopters and 29 cases from 6.5 to 10 diopters. In addition to their myopia 39 cases had a myopic astigmatism. We did only 8 radial incisions with the diamond knife for all the cases of simple myopia and an optic center of 3 and 3.5 mm.
