Effect of selective caries removal and photobiomodulation on postoperative sensitivity in deep cavities: randomized clinical trial.

This randomized clinical trial aimed to evaluate the effect of selective caries removal in deep Class I cavities in posterior teeth followed or not by photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy at two different wavelengths on postoperative sensitivity. Baseline spontaneous and stimulated sensitivity scores of 33 vital permanent molars were determined by the participants using a numeric rating scale. The teeth had their affected dentine preserved and were randomly allocated into three groups (n = 11): selective removal of infected dentine (control), selective removal of infected dentine followed by infra

Pulsed-dye laser as an effective treatment for recalcitrant granulomatous rosacea and a potential regulator of CXCL9 expression.

Granulomatous rosacea (GR) is a rare and distinct variant of rosacea. We report three cases of recalcitrant GR successfully treated with pulsed-dye laser (PDL) and provide experimental evidence supporting its potential as a treatment option. PDL treatment demonstrated remarkable efficacy in the three clinical cases, despite their resistance to conventional therapies. Chemokine ligand 9 (CXCL9), a key chemokine involved in inflammation and granuloma formation, was found to be increased in skin sections from all three patients. In vitro experiments using human monocytes and dermal fibroblasts de

Effectiveness of photobiomodulation therapy on pain intensity in postpartum women with nipple or perineal trauma: protocol for a multicentre, double-blinded, parallel-group, randomised controlled trial.

INTRODUCTION: Photobiomodulation (PBM) using low-level laser can affect tissue repair mechanisms and seems promising in reducing pain intensity. However, few studies support the effectiveness of PBM on postpartum period complications, such as nipple and/or perineal trauma and pain, probably due to the low doses used. The primary objective of this study is to analyse the effectiveness of PBM on pain intensity in the nipple and perineal trauma in women in the immediate postpartum period. Secondary objectives are to evaluate the effect on tissue healing and the women's satisfaction. METHODS AND
