Miliaria is a self-limiting cutaneous disease that may develop from skin exposure to humid climates, occlusion, or raised temperatures, forming groups of 1-3-mm-sized sweat-filled vesicles in the epidermis due to obstruction of the eccrine sweat duct. Here, we describe the first case of extensive bullous miliaria reported in a 47-year-old female with no comorbidities or significant medical history.

This study addresses the treatment of palmar hyperhidrosis, which has been difficult to manage. A new treatment has been developed using radiofrequency microneedling to reduce sweating non-surgically by ablating sweat glands. Based on ultrasound measurements of the dermis and precise microneedling damage, effective energy was applied to locate the sweat glands and disabled their function. Radiofrequency microneedling with ultrasound can safely and effectively treat hyperhidrosis in a minimally invasive way.

Digital papillary adenocarcinoma is a rare but well characterized carcinoma of the sweat glands, which apart from very few exceptions is localized in acral skin. This type of sweat gland carcinoma tends to recur locally and may cause delayed metastases in a few cases. We describe the clinical findings and the broad histopathologic spectrum of four cases of this rare adnexal carcinoma and give a short summary of the literature.

We describe a 34-year-old Japanese man with syringotropic CD8+ mycosis fungoides (MF) accompanied by hypohidrosis who was treated with vorinostat and retinoids. Interestingly, immunohistochemical staining for dermcidin revealed a decrease of sweat in the eccrine glands, and a sweat test by the iodine starch method proved hypohidrosis in the MF-affected areas. Six months after treatment with this combination therapy, the patient's advanced MF was under control.

Body odours have a semiological significance in dermatology and in internal medicine and pediatrics as well. Most of them are brought by the eccrine or apocrine sweat. The term bromhidrosis refers to such conditions. Body odours originate from metabolic disorders, ingestion of food, toxic elements and drugs, and from contact with various xenobiotics. Specific bacterial infections and contaminations also release volatile smelling compounds without the intervention of sweat.

A 4-month-old developed rapidly enlarging, white plaques up to several centimeters in diameter in areas where occlusive tape had been applied, almost all on the sites of venous or arterial punctures. Microscopy demonstrated the features of miliaria profunda, with sweat duct occlusion and evidence of extravasation of sweat into the dermis. This clinical entity has not been described previously, and we suggest the name giant centrifugal miliaria profunda.
