Rutile TiO2 nanorod (TiNR) arrays were fabricated on a boron-doped diamond (BDD) substrate by a simple hydrothermal synthesis method. A fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) electrode grown with TiNR arrays was also prepared using the same technology for comparison.
