Retinoblastoma (RB) is the most common intraocular malignancy in infants and children. S-phase kinase-associated protein 2 (SKP2) has been unmasked as an oncogene in a great many of carcinomas. Patients with a germline mutation in von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) develop renal cell cancers and hypervascular tumors of the brain, adrenal glands, and pancreas as well as erythrocytosis.
