Although Meckel's diverticulum is the most common congenital gastrointestinal disorder, it is controversial whether asymptomatic diverticula in adults should be respected. The authors report the case of a patient who was operated due to ileus caused by adhesions and a Meckel's diverticulum without any sign of inflammation was accidentally noted and removed. As a surprise, the pathological examination of the diverticulum proved carcinoid tumor, a neuroendocrine malignant tumor. The case raises the importance of the removal of asymptomatic Meckel's diverticulum.

A right-sided aortic arch associated with an aberrant subclavian artery is a rare anomaly. Regardless, this condition is clinically relevant because mortality is associated with rupture, morbidity results from compression of mediastinal structures, and the surgery is complex. We describe the successful surgical repair of this vascular anomaly by totally debranching the neck vessels and placing an endovascular stent-graft to exclude the ruptured Kommerell's diverticulum.

We describe the case of a 43-year-old man recently diagnosed with ileal Crohn's disease complicated by a free peritoneal perforation of a Meckel's diverticulum and the presence of enteroliths in the intestinal lumen. The coexistence of Crohńs disease, Meckel's diverticulum and enteroliths has rarely been reported. Meckel's diverticulum can hamper the management of Crohn's disease.

Meckel's diverticulum is the most common congenital anomaly of the small intestine, with an estimated incidence of approximately 1-3% in the general population. Intestinal obstruction is the most common complication in adult patients. Since accurate diagnosis before the operation is difficult, decision for surgery is delayed, and serious problems may be encountered. Here in, we present the diagnosis and management of our patients with intestinal obstruction due to Meckel's diverticulum.

UNLABELLED: Periampullar diverticulum (PAD) represent a particular type of duodenal diverticulum, with important pathological effect on the functionality of both the billiary tree and the pancreas. A 54-year-old man presented with sharp chest pain and hypertension. He was treated with intravenous antihypertensive with good control of the blood pressure. Chest X-ray showed widened mediastinum, and subsequent computed tomography scan of the chest demonstrated dissection of the descending thoracic aorta. It also showed an aberrant right subclavian artery with retrograde extension of dissection and Kommerell's diverticulum, which is dilatation at the origin of the aberrant subclavian artery.

Diverticula of the male urethra are rare clinical entities. Congenital and acquired have similar modes of presentation. No case of urethral diverticulum, containing stone, complicating epispadias repair have been reported. We report the case of 8-year-old boy with an urethral diverticulum, containing stone, complicating epispadias repair. Diverticulectomy with removal of the stone by urethroplasty was performed. Through this observation and review of the literature, authors describe pathological and management finding of urethral diverticula.

The management of Meckel diverticulum found unexpectedly during an abdominal operation remains controversial. Most published reports have included only patients undergoing diverticulectomy or bowel resection through laparotomy. Urethral diverticulum in the male is a rare entity that may be congenital or acquired. They are common in paraplegic patients, who are prone to developing this disorder on an acquired basis because of prolonged catheterization. The most common diseases in patients with spinal cord injury are stricture, fistula and diverticula. Patients with diverticula typically present with symptoms of urinary incontinence, dysuria, perineal pain, or a mass on the ventral aspect of the genitalia or perineum. Treatment of choice is always surgical and a complete extirpation should be performed.

Subsequent histology revealed an endometrial diverticulum lined with chorionic-type intermediate trophoblast, a subpopulation of trophoblast that composes placental site nodules.
CONCLUSION: This was the first case of a lesion of intermediate trophoblast occurring in a cesarean scar diverticulum.
