Leg replantation is generally considered to yield good results, particularly since the widespread use of progressive lengthening procedures. A retrospective review of 676 tibial-fibular fractures and 985 femoral fractures treated over a 71-month period yielded associated major vascular trauma in 12 (1.7%) tibial-fibular fractures and in five (0.5%) femoral fractures. The standard approach to management of traumatic false aneurysms is operative. This report describes successful treatment of a traumatic peroneal artery aneurysm following a gunshot wound in a 29-year-old man by an intraluminal steel coil occlusion technique. The coil was guided through the popliteal artery and aneurysm into the distal peroneal artery via a percutaneously placed catheter: following disengagement of the coil the outflow tract of the aneurysm was occluded, and another passed and released into the proximal peroneal artery occluded the inflow tract.

Competitive skiing has gained increasing popularity among adolescent, yet it comes with injury risks. The aim was to determine injury incidence, type and time of injury, localization, and diagnosis, among adolescent competitive skiers (alpine, cross-country, ski-cross, mogul), and to compare between skiing discipline, sex, and high school year. All students (n = 190) enrolled in a ski high school from August 2013 to June 2018 were included. All injuries during the study period were prospectively registered by the physiotherapist at the high school. Demographic and injury data were registered.
