Retronychia describes the proximal ingrowing of the nail plate. In the early stage, topical steroids are the gold standard therapy, while in the late stage surgical treatment is mandatory. BACKGROUND: In the second half of life, an untreated hearing impairment seems to be associated to increase the risk of dementia, depression, fall, cognitive decline, or general helpless. Topical 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) is a valuable treatment of actinic keratosis (AK), but its use is limited by bothersome side effects.
