OBJECTIVE: To examine correlations between cervical vertebral maturation stages (CVMs) and dental development stages, and cervical vertebral maturation (CVM) stage 6 and completion of root formation of mandibular third molar in Thai cleft patients.
MATERIAL AND METHOD: Lateral cephalograms of 366 cleft subjects aged 7-9 years were assessed for CVMs using Baccetti method. Calcication stages of all left mandibular teeth within each CVMs were assessed from panoramic films using Demirjian method.

We propose a new method to maximize biomarker efficiency for detecting anatomical change over time in serial MRI. Drug trials using neuroimaging become prohibitively costly if vast numbers of subjects must be assessed, so it is vital to develop efficient measures of brain change. A popular measure of efficiency is the minimal sample size (n80) needed to detect 25% change in a biomarker, with 95% confidence and 80% power. The scores of 78 bulimia nervosa (BN) patients and 67 general psychiatric outpatients on the Revised Eating Disorder Inventory (EDI-2) were compared in a multivariate discriminant analysis. The bulimia scale was found to correctly classify 97 per cent of all cases. Of the EDI-2 scales thought to be not directly related to food and weight, only interoceptive awareness (IA) and asceticism (AS) showed discriminative validity. Three eating-related items were found to account for the discriminative value of the IA scale, and the new AS scale was found to be a discriminative extension of the EDI.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the clinical significance of changes of color visual evoked potential (PVEP) in early primary open angle glaucoma (POAG).
METHOD: Thirty-one patients (45 eyes) with POAG and fifty-one persons (94 eyes) as age-matched normal controls were tested by color PVEP.
RESULTS: In POAG group, the latencies of P100 wave were lengthened, its amplitudes and wave form indexes decreased, the latencies of N145 wave were lengthened, and the amplitudes of N75 wave were lowered. In early POAG eyes without the changes detected by Goldmann perimetry, their color PVEPs were already abnormal

BACKGROUND: Interpersonal coordination is a fundamental social behavior that has been shown to be reduced in autism, though less is known about other psychiatric conditions. An automated quantitative measure of interpersonal coordination would enhance assessment, diagnosis, and monitoring of treatment-related change in autism and other psychiatric conditions.
