BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Patients with an inguinal hernia usually report an inguinal bulge and pain. Inguinal canal fat can cause lower abdominal pain, swelling, and an inguinal hernia. Round ligament lipomas (RLLs) and inguinal cord lipomas (CLs) comprise invagination of extraperitoneal fat in the inguinal canal through the deep inguinal ring, with or without a hernia sac. During open surgery, The Inguinal canal fat mass (ICFM) previously labeled CL or RLL is usually excised and considered a CL, RLL, or inguinal canal lipoma. BACKGROUND: Transanal minimally invasive surgery (TAMIS) is an evolving technique for the local excision of early rectal cancers,1 particularly for mid-rectal lesions. The approach to upper rectal lesions is significantly more challenging and prone to complications. Cardiac myxomas are the most common primary cardiac tumours but are rarely found in the right ventricle. We present the case of a 53-year-old man with a large right ventricular myxoma who presented with symptoms of severe anaemia, acute kidney injury, fatigue and breathlessness. Fifteen children with nontuberculous mycobacterial adenitis of the head and neck underwent surgical treatment between July 1991 and July 1994. It is well known that immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4)-related sclerosing disease usually occurs in the pancreas, bile duct and gall bladder, but not in the mediastinum, trachea or superior vena cava (SVC). In this case, a patient underwent mediastinal mass excision and trachea resection and repair for a mediastinal and intratracheal mass 15 years ago. Lung hamartomas are rare benign tumors of the bronchi. Their management consists of bronchoscopic excision or removal through a thoracotomy and bronchotomy whenever there is a large tumor totally obstructing the bronchial lumen. As a lung-sparing procedure is usually the aim, various bronchoplastic techniques have been described, providing a functional lumen of the repaired bronchus. We describe a simple technique that can be safely undertaken to preserve a satisfactory diameter of the bronchus or trachea and prevent a stenosis at the site of repair.

It has been reported that paravesical suture granuloma after inguinal hernia repair may simulate a bladder, pelvic, or urachal malignancy in adults, and therefore, these lesions often pose a diagnostic and therapeutic dilemma. However, such a case has not been reported in the pediatric age group to date. The authors report a paravesical suture granuloma after left inguinal hernia repair in a child that mimics a local recurrence of the totally excised immature sacrococcygeal teratoma.

Surgical repair of left ventricular diverticulum usually is not required in infancy even though it combines with other anomalies. In addition to prevention of rupture of the diverticulum and thrombus formation, treatment of combined ventricular tachycardia is thought to be an indication for resection of the diverticulum. We describe a successful repair performed by excising the isolated left ventricular diverticulum under cardiopulmonary bypass in a 9-day-old infant. The combined ventricular bigeminy has disappeared 9 months after the operation.
