We present a novel treatment for post-traumatic arthritis of the hand and fingers using joint resurfacing with cadaveric meniscus. A 20-year-old man presented to the clinic with chronic pain and stiffness after an intra-articular fifth metacarpal fracture. Meniscus allograft, which has been used successfully in treatments for thumb carpometacarpal and radiocarpal degenerative osteoarthritis, was used to reconstruct the joint surface with complete resolution of stiffness and pain.

The experience of surgical treatment of 51 patients with fresh and old injuries of the knee joint is analyzed. The operation consisted in plastic of the integrity of the injured patella, extension apparatus, cruciate ligaments of the knee joint. Allogenic tendinous transplants of musculus peroneus longus, extensor of the foot toes, flexor of fingers conserved by freezing were used. Good results of the treatment were obtained in 43 patients, satisfactory-in 5 and unsatisfactory-in 3 patients.

A case of rupture of the flexor digitorum profundus tendon to the little finger secondary to osteoarthritis of the pisotriquetral joint is reported. We report a case of rupture of the flexor tendons to the index finger after arthrodesis of the basal joint of the thumb. OBJECTIVE: To determine the prevalence, clinical manifestations, and possible associated features of hypermobility among Egyptian children in a prospective study.
METHODS: Nine hundred ninety-seven healthy children from 4 different educational areas for primary and presecondary schools were screened for the presence of hypermobility. A hypermobility score was used to denote the degree of laxity. Sites and possible clinical associations of hypermobility were determined.
