OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical and pathologic features of middle ear adenoma (MEA).
METHODS: Eight cases of MEA were collected from Beijing Tongren Hospital, Capital Medical University between 2004 and 2014, and immunohistochemical staining was performed.
RESULTS: The patients included five women and three men (mean age, 37.5 years; median 37 years; range, 21-51 years). All patients had unilateral lesions. INTRODUCTION: Middle ear barotrauma (MEB) is a common complication of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO2) therapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the overall incidence of MEB and evaluate for differences in the incidence of MEB at different rates of compression (ROC). The study also sought to identify other potential risk factors for MEB.

OBJECTIVE: The objective of this clinical review is to highlight the otolaryngological symptoms that occur in pregnancy. Where available, the authors discuss the current evidence of the etiology and management of the various presentations.
