Morphine has been reported to increase extracellular levels of dopamine in the brain of intact rats and to potentiate turning induced by amphetamine in nigrally-lesioned rats. Extracellular calcium addition transiently stimulated two S6 peptide kinase activities in isolated rat hepatocytes.
