Immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining is the most common method to detect the distribution and localization of biomarkers in different parts of a tissue. Antibodies for tandem repeat peptide of mucins are very popular, but antibodies for glycosylation or others are also used. IHC for mucin is the same protocol as IHC for others. Two methods for extraction and determination of benzo[a]pyrene and other PAH in liquid and white soft paraffins, widely used for medicinal and cosmetic purposes, are compared.
