Communication disorder is common in Koolen de Vries syndrome (KdVS), yet its specific symptomatology has not been examined, limiting prognostic counselling and application of targeted therapies. Here we examine the communication phenotype associated with KdVS. Hearing aid fitting formulas intended for the pediatric population can differ by 6 to 25 dB in prescribed output across frequency leading to large variations in aided audibility.
