Autoclaved cercarial vaccine (ACV) was found to be highly effective in eliciting protective immunity against experimental Schistosomal mansoni. The ability to tolerate an oral glucose load during convalescence from hypoxia was studied in four term and 11 premature appropriate-for-gestational-age infants by sequential measurements of the changes occurring in blood pH, bicarbonate, plasma lactic acid, and plasma glucose following an oral glucose load. Sea buckthorn juice has a sharp acidic taste due to its high organic acid content, and its fermentation process is complex. In this study, two acid and bile-salt tolerant lactic acid bacterial strains, Lactiplantibacillus plantarum CICC 20999 and Streptococcus thermophilus CICC 6063, were screened. This study employed AlCl3/ZnCl2 bimetallic salt catalysis with ethanol organic solvent for sugar cane bagasse pretreatment. The dynamic changes in volatile organic compounds (VOCs), reducing sugars, and amino acids of Dictyophora rubrovalvata (DR) at various drying temperatures were analyzed using GC-IMS, HPLC, and LC-MS. This work studied the benefits of adding different enzyme cocktails (cellulase, xylanase, β-glucosidase) to pretreated switchgrass. Seeds of pea (Pisum sativum L.) were germinated for four days over two sheets of filter paper moistened with H2O (control) and 5 mM Cd(NO3)2 or CuSO4 (treated). The relationship between heavy-metal stress and breakdown of storage compounds was studied.
