The aim of this study was to examine apoptotic markers in fresh and frozen-thawed feline spermatozoa collected via urethral catheterization and epididymal slicing. Caspase activation, DNA fragmentation, and phosphatidylserine externalization were evaluated using flow cytometry in sperm cells from both sources before and after cryopreservation. The objective of this study was to assess whether intraoperative transperineal ultrasound can be used to assess changes in the relationship between the urethra and bladder caused by a prolapse repair operation. Hem-o-loc clips have been used for vascular control in laparoscopic surgery. We describe a case presenting with lower urinary tract symptoms after laparoscopic radical prostatectomy. Evaluation revealed migrated hem-o-loc clips causing obstruction and symptoms in bladder neck region. Clip removal with endoscopy relieved the symptoms. Diagnosis warrants high index of suspicion as clips are radiolucent and other more common differential diagnosis like bladder neck contracture may have similar presentation. For the prevention, loose clips should be actively searched for and retrieved from abdomen

The pathogenesis of the prune belly syndrome (PBS) remains controversial, but two theories predominate. The first theory supports an obstructive phenomenon early in gestation leading to irreversible damage to the genitourinary tract and abdominal wall. The second theory suggests mesodermal injury between the 6th and 10th weeks of gestation as the primary abnormality. We report on a 43-year-old man with difficult urination attributed to malignant pheochromocytoma with hyper-dopaminemia. A decrease and increase in the plasma dopamine values during the clinical course clearly coincided with improvement and deterioration, respectively, in urination difficulty. The prostatic peak pressure decreased by 37% when the plasma dopamine value was minimal. Detrusor function was normal throughout.
