OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effectiveness of a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser (MedLite C6; HOYA ConBio, Fremont, CA, USA) and 7% alpha arbutin solution (Skin Advance Laboratory, Japan) in the treatment of melasma.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP) is an excellent surgical treatment for patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia, but surgical complications are not well described. We set out to determine the predictors of stress incontinence (SUI) after HoLEP during the learning curve.

There is usually a small pouch within the trachea after ligation and division of a tracheoesophageal fistula. Most are asymptomatic, but some present with cough or by causing problems with endotracheal or tracheostomy tubes.
