Radiation-induced liver disease (RILD), also known as radiation hepatitis, is a serious side effect of radiotherapy (RT) for hepatocellular carcinoma. The incidence of radiation-induced secondary primary tumors (SPTs) is estimated to be between 1 and 20%. The oropharynx is not a common site for postradiotherapy head and neck SPTs. We describe the cases of eight patients, each with an SPT of the oropharynx. OBJECTIVE: Carotid endarterectomy and carotid artery stenting are both valid therapeutic options for the treatment of radiation-induced carotid stenosis (RICS). The second has the advantage of being less invasive, although it seems to result in more restenosis than the first.
