We reported on 65 years old patient who has colon cancer and referred to our palliative care center with pain due to enlarging metastatic mass on the dorsal of the right hand. She had swelling and numbness on her jaw. Computed tomography (CT) scan was performed for mandible imaging and two pathologic fractures were detected on the right corpus and right condyle of the mandible. Clinicians should consider possible metastases for terminal stage cancer patients.

Many reasons could lead to abnormal increased extraosseous tracer uptake on Tc-MDP bone scintigraphy. A 75-year-old man was referred a bone scintigraphy to evaluate his chest pain. The images revealed rib fractures. In addition, increased MDP activity in the muscle of the lower extremities was noted. The abnormal increased uptake in the muscles was likely related to the arterial thromboses revealed by vascular ultrasonography. The patient received interventional embolectomy.

The patient was a 51-year-old man who was evaluated by a physical therapist for a chief complaint of right hip pain. The patient was treated with a single bout of nonthrust hip joint mobilizations, but due to the patient's atypical response and long-term use of oral corticosteroid medications, he was referred to his primary care physician. Foreign bodies may occur after a thoracic trauma, but foreign bodies retained after stab wounds are rare. This paper reports the case of a 20-year-old man who was admitted with the diagnosis of haemothorax following a single stab wound on the chest. One month later, he was referred to the authors' clinic with symptoms of pain and swelling under the left scapula due to a previously overlooked foreign body on the chest wall.

Athletes performing repetitive movements can develop arterial injuries. These are uncommon. We present a case of bilateral subclavian/axillary artery stenosis in a female patient referred to the rapid access chest pain clinic with a presumptive diagnosis of angina. Her symptoms were related to limb ischemia rather than cardiac insufficiency. Detailed history from this patient revealed that she had spent 8 years working as an acrobat being swung by the arms twice daily during performances.

Eighteen patients who were initially diagnosed as having trochanteric bursitis refractory to conventional therapy are reported. The most common causes of pseudotrochanteric bursitis were lumbar radiculopathy (L2, L3), lumbar facet syndrome with pain referred to the lateral thigh, and entrapment neuropathies involving the subcostal, and the lateral cutaneous branches of the iliohypogastric nerves. Less common causes were undisplaced femoral neck fracture, adiposa dolorosa, and hip abductor muscle strain. Diagnosis was facilitated by selective neuroblockade.

A case of monostotic fibrous dysplasia of the spine is presented. It was referred to us after a history of 3 years' pain. The site of the anomaly is so exceptional that it invited comparison with the six other cases described in the literature. This comparison produced resemblances which differentiate this particular type of monostotic fibrous dysplasia form that located at other sites, both in its clinical aspects and its radiographic appearances.

To evaluate whether a low-osmolar contrast medium could decrease hyperamylasemia after endoscopic retrograde pancreatography, a prospective randomized double-blind trial of 54 consecutive patients with suspected pancreatic disease referred for endoscopic retrograde pancreatography was performed. The low-osmolar contrast medium iohexol and high-osmolar amidotrizoate were used. No statistically significant differences with regard to rise in pancreatic-type amylase, pain reaction, or diagnostic information were found. No case of acute pancreatitis was observed.
