Monocular Diplopia: An Optical Correction Modality.

Post-surgical or traumatic corectopia is among the rare causes of monocular diplopia. A 26-years-old student presented to the Institute with a complaint of monocular double vision in the left eye. He had a penetrating ocular injury in the left eye and subsequently, undergone for multiple ocular surgeries. Following the final intraocular lens implantation, he experienced a monocular double vision in his left eye. Upon contact lens clinic presentation, visual acuities were 20/20 in the right and 20/320 in the left eye (improved to 20/25 with pinhole). Slit-lamp examination on the left eye reveal

Crystalglobulin-Induced Nephropathy and Keratopathy.

Crystalglobulinemia, a rare manifestation of monoclonal gammopathy, results from vascular deposition of crystallized monoclonal proteins leading to tissue injury. A 56-year-old man initially presented several years earlier with migratory polyarthralgias and blurry vision with no unifying diagnosis. Following an acute episode of malignant hypertension and rapidly progressive kidney failure, kidney biopsy was performed and was interpreted as idiopathic thrombotic microangiopathy. Further evaluation revealed an underlying monoclonal protein disorder. Slit-lamp biomicroscopy evaluation showed crys

Penetrating corneal wound with traumatic cataract and intraocular foreign body-case report.

Open globe injuries complicated with the presence of an intraocular foreign body mostly affect young males and represent a vision threatening condition. We presented the case of a 48-year-old male who presented to our emergency service due to ocular pain and blurred vision in his right eye. A metallic foreign body situated between 1 and 12 o'clock, near the corneoscleral limbus, that perforated the cornea, the iris, the anterior capsule of the lens and the lens, was detected at the slit-lamp examination. We decided to immediately remove the foreign body that was approximately 20 mm long. The f
