We describe a rare case of interstitial pregnancy following frozen embryo transfer in a woman with previous bilateral salpingectomy. The 33-year-old patient with a history of recurrent early pregnancy loss conceived after in vitro fertilization. Hormone profiles in early pregnancy were established in 67 women and correlated to simultaneously performed ultrasonic examinations. Normal values for human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG), human chorionic somatotropin (HCS), oestradiol (E2) and progesterone (P) were established from the data obtained in 30 early pregnancies which culminated in the birth of a living child. Pregnancy presents a wide range of difficult urological management problems. We report a unique case of a term intra-abdominal pregnancy complicated by persistent hydronephrosis after cesarean section. Intra-abdominal placenta degeneration was monitored by serial serum beta-human chorionic gonadotropin values. Hydronephrosis ultimately resolved with conservative management.

We report a case of a 6-week cervical pregnancy successfully treated with systemic methotrexate and gestational sac biopsy with 15%-calcium chloride solution injection. Serial monitoring of human chorionic gonadotropin levels, combined with ultrasound examinations, confirmed spontaneous miscarriage. Applied treatment allowed to avoid hysterectomy and preserve the patient's fertility.
