This report is a summary of the 4th Conference on NGS for Adventitious Virus Detection, which took place on December 4-5, 2024, in Frankfurt, Germany, and was sponsored by the International Alliance for Biological Standardization (IABS), and co-chaired by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare (EDQM). The increased interest in using NGS for adventitious virus detection follows its recent introduction in the ICH Q5A (R2) guideline and the new EDQM/European Pharmacopoeia general chapter 2.6.41. Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major global health concern, with the transition from latent to active TB still poorly understood. Therefore, enhancing clinical management and prevention strategies for TB is essential. We developed a novel, stress-free blood sampling method for minipigs, allowing continuous cortisol monitoring over 24 h. Baseline cortisol levels exhibited both ultradian and diurnal rhythms. During nighttime, smaller ultradian rhythms overlaid a lower baseline cortisol, which increased in sleeping pigs before lights were turned on. This study conducted a meta-analysis to identify the primary risk and protective factors associated with the revictimization in intimate partner violence against women (IPVAW). Out of 2382 studies initially identified in eight databases, 22 studies met the inclusion criteria and provided the necessary data for calculating pooled effect sizes.
