Three patients with postaxial polydactyly and other abnormalities of the hands and feet, hypoplasia and fusion of the vertebral bodies, and dental abnormalities are reported. Two were sisters born to normal unrelated parents; the other patient was the male offspring of a consanguineous marriage. We suggest that this constellation of abnormalities represents a recessively inherited syndrome.

OBJECTIVE: While physical activity (PA) patterns are epidemiologically linked to gynecologic pathologies, establishing causality remains uncertain. This Mendelian randomization (MR) study evaluated causal relationships between PA phenotypes and gynecologic disorders.
METHODS: Using European-ancestry female genome-wide association study (GWAS) data, we analyzed eight gynecologic disorders and four PA instruments. INTRODUCTION: We sought to characterize changes in healthcare spending associated with the onset of 22 endometriosis-related comorbidities.
METHODS: Women aged 18-49 years with endometriosis (N = 180,278) were extracted from 2006-2015 de-identified Clinformatics® DataMart claims data. For 22 comorbidities, comorbidity patients were identified on the basis of having a first comorbidity diagnosis after their initial endometriosis diagnosis. Controls were identified on the basis of having no comorbidity diagnosis and were matched 1:1 to comorbidity patients on demographics and baseline spending.

Numerous members of the genus Exophiala are potential agents of human and animal mycoses. The majority of these infections are cutaneous and superficial, but also fatal systemic infections are known. A study was made on 258 cases of cysticercosis, that were examined and diagnosed at the Department of Pathology, College of Medicine, Seoul National University during a period of 9 years from 1968 to 1976 inclusive. There were a total of 35,363 surgical specimens examined during the same period, thus revealing the relative frequency ratio of cysticercosis among surgical accessions to be 0.73%.
