Our study aimed to investigate the histologic and immunological changes of portal hypertension (PH) pre- and postsplenectomy in hepatitis B virus (HBV)-related cirrhosis. Hepatocytes are the targets in autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) that results in T cell-dependent liver injury.
