A study for multiple primary cancer in the female mammary gland was performed. In 145 cases of mammary cancer, blocks for histological analysis were taken in a special system following routine examination of the specimen. Three sagital sections each of one inch width were taken from the outer, medium and inner region and from each of these 6 small blocks were cut. By this constant pattern of histological screening, 9 cases out of 145 were found showing multiple primary cancers. Among these Carcinoma solidum scirrhosum was the most frequent tumor type. BACKGROUND: Surgery is the standard care for patients with early-stage lung cancer, and stereotactic body radiation therapy is an option for those who are medically inoperable or refuse surgery. Medical developments in diagnostic and therapeutic strategies would prolong prognosis of patients with cancer. The number of patients with multiple cancers has also increased. BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: Reports of multiple primary tumors are not new. However, we have noted a disproportionate number of patients with melanoma in whom lymphoma develops and wanted to define the incidence of this association.
DESIGN: All 664 patients with melanoma treated at Yale-New Haven Hospital, Conn, during the 5-year period from 1986 to 1991 were reviewed. Yolk sac tumor (YST) is a rare malignancy typically occurring in children. However, bilateral testicular YSTs are a quite rare situation, which can occur metachronously or synchronously with same histologic type, as well as different histology. We present a case of synchronous YST of the left testis and mature teratoma of the right in a 7-month-old infant treated with testis-sparing surgery at right testis and high radical orchiectomy at left. By follow-up of 28th month, no atrophy, or residual tumor in right testis and no recurrence or evidence of disease in left scrotum was found.

Eccrine poromas and porocarcinomas are adnexal tumors derived from the sweat duct epithelium. However, eccrine poroma is benign in nature, whilst eccrine porocarcinoma is regarded as its malignant counterpart. We report the case of a man who presented simultaneously with an eccrine poroma and eccrine porocarcinoma. Both lesions had no clear distinctive features, enhancing the need of high-level clinical suspicion together with surgical excision and histopathology for prompt diagnosis confirmation.

Nevus lipomatosus cutaneus superficialis is a rare, hamartomatous disorder, characterized by the presence of ectopic mature adipose tissue within the superficial dermis. Lesions occur within the first three decades of life. We report four new cases, including a patient with the most extensive affectation reported to date, which was associated with massive lipomas in the subcutaneous cell tissue and diffuse lipomatosis. To our knowledge, it is the first report of this disorder in Cuba.

The purpose of our study was to describe synchronous primary tumours and previously undetected metastases in 736 dogs with confirmed neoplasia in which computed tomography (CT) scans were performed for diagnostic, staging and/or radiation treatment planning purposes.
