The main basic effect of hyperbaric oxygenation (HBO2) on the human body, in our study, was an increased partial pressure of oxygen resulting from an increased amount of oxygen dissolved in plasma. Thus the plasma can become capable of carrying enough oxygen to meet the needs of the body's tissues. BACKGROUND: Pancreatic islet transplantation has become a promising treatment for type 1 diabetes. However, autoimmune reactivity destroys engrafted islets in type 1 diabetic recipients. We examined the effect of cilostazol, a type III phosphodiesterase inhibitor, on pain-free and maximal walking distance and quality of life measures. The present study examined adverse effects in 2,702 patients with stable, moderate to severe claudication enrolled in 8 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trials. OBJECTIVE: To determine the prognostic factors and healing ranges of patients treated for sudden hearing loss (SHL).
PATIENTS AND METHODS: In our study, 33 patients treated for SHL were evaluated between March 1995 and October 2001 retrospectively. After the routine examinations, first audiograms were done. The audiograms were classified as hearing loss in low frequencies, high frequencies, and flat using the Shey and Rubin classification systems. All patients were treated with the same standard regimen. The benefits of treatment were evaluated with the Siegel classification.

We studied 94 patients with chronic prostatitis (CP) in combination with urogenital chlamydiasis. The patients were divided into three groups.
