BACKGROUND: In the group of adult patients being diagnosed from different neurological complaints frequency of pineal cyst occurrence is estimated at 0,1-4,9%. Frequency of its occurrence in pediatric population is unknown, however it is regarded as a common lesion at this age, more frequent in girls and older children. This structural lesion is usually asymptomatic, without sequels and clinical complications. However, neoplastic lesions may also localize in pineal cyst.

BACKGROUND: The aim of our study was to establish whether there is a difference in semen quality between patients with testicular cancer (TC) and Hodgkin's disease (HD).
METHODS: We evaluated 342 patients affected by TC (n = 232) or HD (n = 110) who cryobanked sperm before initiating chemo- or radiotherapy. All TC patients were evaluated approximately 1 month after orchidectomy.

Extragonadal germ cell tumors (EGCT) are a rare group of neoplasms histologically identical to testicular counterparts. Fourteen cases of primary mediastinal and retroperitoneal germ cell tumors were treated with chemotherapy and radiotherapy between 1987 and 1999 in Ankara Oncology Hospital. This medical case report describes the diagnosis and treatment of a 24-year-old man with a germ cell tumor. OBJECTIVE: The identification of ectopic pregnancy is the primary concern for pregnant patients with an indeterminate ultrasound (an empty uterus or gestational sac). The absence of free fluid and adnexal masses by ultrasound combined with the absence of ectopic risk factors are used to place women in a "low-risk" category. We believe that women in a "low-risk" category with a β-human chorionic gonadotropin (β-hCG) below 3,000 mIU/mL can be discharged with only an emergency department (ED) ultrasound, provided there is 48 to 72 hours obstetric follow-up.

PICCC is the rarest, most malignant primary intracranial GCT. Uterine artery pseudoaneurysm is a rare disease and it can be diagnosed using conventional doppler ultrasongraphy. Damaged uterine arteries from cesarean section, myomectomy, dilatation & curettage, etc. are known as causes of the disease. Massive bleeding in the rupture can cause fatal result. We observed an increase in β-hCG and uterine artery pseudoaneurysm a year after the performance of dilatation & curettage for hydatidiform mole and treated it with arterial embolization and chemotherapy. BACKGROUND: Spinal canal metastasis secondary to gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (GTN) is a rare condition.
CASE: A 21-year-old female presented with symptoms of cauda equina compression by an extradural metastasis from GTN. The patient received multiagent chemotherapy combined with intrathecal methotrexate administration. Her neurologic symptoms improved remarkably after the cessation of chemotherapy. During the 21-month follow-up period, she was asymptomatic and has shown overall improvement in well-being.
