We present a case of a 66-year-old man, who was admitted with a 6-hour history of severe diffuse abdominal pain of acute onset, accompanied by nausea and flatulence. The patient underwent an exploratory laparotomy, which revealed the presence of multiple diverticules of the jejeunum, one of which was ruptured. The patient was treated with segmental resection of the jejunum carrying the ruptured diverticle. Perforation of a jejunal diverticulum has to be considered in the differential diagnosis of acute abdomen.

A 50-year-old woman who had undergone cervical spine fixation 6 years earlier presented with dysphagia, regurgitation of undigested food, halitosis, and weight loss. We report a 49-year-old female who had circumferential urethral diverticulum. She was admitted to our department for urinary retention. A cystic lesion surrounding the urethra had been detected by magnetic resonance imaging. We diagnosed the lesion as a urethral diverticulum after injecting dye to the cystic mass from vagina and confirming its discharge from the urethra at the pubic side by urethroscopy. Giant colonic diverticulum is a rare complication of diverticular disease of the colon and is thought to result, in most cases, from a "ball-valve" effect. The presentation and clinical course can be variable and confusing. BACKGROUND: Uterine diverticulum is a very rare anomaly. Most previously reported cases were called "pregnancy-associated sacculations," and only 2 cases were considered true uterine diverticula.
CASE: A 41-year-old woman presented with fever and lower abdominal pain. An extrauterine mass was detected, and a hysterectomy was performed. Pathological examination revealed a cystic uterine diverticulum lined with cervical glands and myometrium arising from the cervix. The final diagnosis was an infected uterine cervical diverticulum.

We report a case of Meckel's diverticulum in a 6-month-old girl who presented with a 5-month history of chronic screaming but no symptoms or signs of intestinal obstruction. Infantile colic was the presumptive diagnosis. Abdominal sonography at 6 months of age demonstrated an abdominal mass with an anechoic center and a double-layered wall, surrounded by bowel loops. Duodenal diverticula may be complicated by diverticulitis, perforation, hemorrhage, pancreatitis, or biliary obstruction. Two cases of perforated duodenal diverticulum are reported. Both patients were elderly females.
