Venous Thromboembolism After Radical Cystectomy: A Systematic Comparison of Open Versus Robotic Approaches (2003-2025).

Radical cystectomy carries a substantial risk for venous thromboembolism (VTE), significantly impacting postoperative morbidity and mortality. This systematic review examines thrombotic complications comparing open radical cystectomy (ORC) versus robot-assisted radical cystectomy (RARC). Following PRISMA 2020 guidelines, we searched PubMed/MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, SCOPUS, and Web of Science from January 2003 through September 2025. Inclusion required complete reporting of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or VTE rates, surgical approach specification, adult patients, minimum 30-day follow-u

Effect of acupoint stimulation after caesarean section: a protocol for systematic review with meta-analysis and trial sequential analysis.

INTRODUCTION: Although caesarean sections (CSs) are essential for the management of obstructed labour and other obstetric complications, postoperative pain, delayed recovery and complication risks continue to be significant challenges in perioperative management. Improvements in traditional medications and surgical techniques have helped, yet issues, including medication side effects and extended recovery times, persist. Therefore, it is particularly important to seek non-pharmacological interventions, such as acupoint stimulation, to optimise the perioperative management of CS. The aim of thi

Managing Arrhythmias in Cardiogenic Shock: Insights Into Milrinone and Dobutamine Therapy.

Shock is a state of inadequate perfusion that affects vital organs. Cardiogenic shock (CS) predisposes patients to various arrhythmias. The adverse effect depends on intervention and pharmacogenomics. This narrative review sheds light on treatment strategies for arrhythmias caused by milrinone and dobutamine when managing CS. Dobutamine, through beta-1 agonism, and milrinone, by phosphodiesterase-3 inhibition, increase cardiac contractility by enhancing the availability of calcium to the myocardium. Dobutamine is also a beta-2 agonist, and milrinone is a phosphodiesterase-3 inhibitor; both res

Identification and Validation of Peptides Specifying SARS-CoV-2 B-Cell Epitopes Eliciting Neutralizing Antibodies.

Vaccination is an effective means of inducing immune protection to prevent transmissible diseases. During the Covid-19 pandemic, immunizations using traditional and novel vaccine platforms such as the inactivated SARSCo-V-2 vaccine, adenoviral-vectored, and nucleic acid-based mRNA vaccines have been relatively successful in controlling the rates of infection and hospitalizations. Nevertheless, the danger posed by the emergence of SARS-CoV-2 variants would set the stage for the design of next generation vaccines. To overcome the lack of efficacy of current vaccines against emerging SARS-CoV-2 v
