Hypertension is quite common in the elderly population. Isolated systolic hypertension and diastolic hypertension are associated with cardiovascular complications. Like younger patients, the elderly may have labile hypertension. On the other hand, pseudohypertension, auscultatory gap, and postural hypotension are peculiar to the elderly. The clinical manifestations of 20 cases of insular cistern hematoma were characterized by sudden onset violent headache, vomiting, bloody CSF, and subhyaloid hemorrhage (1/3 cases). CT scan showed semilunar high density image centering on the insular cistern with serrate internal edge. The average volume of the hematoma was 20 ml. By means of cerebral angiography, operation and/or autopsy, 7 cases were identified as aneurysm of middle cerebral artery, 6 as aneurysm of posterior communicating artery, and 2 as amyloid angiopathy. In the other 5 cases, the etiology was unknown.

Neurocysticercosis is the most important parasitic infection of the nervous system in countries of the third world. The disease is caused by the cystic larval stage of Taenia solium, the pork tape worm. The clinical picture of neurocysticercosis is due to the parasite itself and/or an inflammatory reaction around degenerating cysts in the central nervous system. Sensitization due to copper has rarely been reported, so far. There is no standard patch test regarding allergy against copper sulphate (CSA). Our study is concerned with the evaluation of data of 10.936 patients patch tested between 1975 and 1985. In rheumatology the so-called "seronegative spondarthritis" is a group of diseases characterized by the presence of HLA-B 27. This group includes the typical ankylosing spondylitis as well as atypical spondylopathies such as those occurring in psoriasis, Reiter's disease and chronic inflammatory enteropathies, which attack mainly the spine and secondarily the peripheral joints. CT findings in ninety-nine patients with trigeminal neuralgia were reviewed. Brain tumors including three trigeminal neurinomas, three meningiomas, one epidermoid, one acoustic neurinoma, were found in eight cases as a cause of symptomatic trigeminal neuralgia. Between 1972 and 1984 148 children with urolithiasis were studied and managed at the University Clinic Children's Hospital of Teheran. In 125 children the calculi were in the upper and in 23 children in the lower urinary tract. Seven cases of carcinoma of male breast were reported. The mean age of them was about 65 years, 17 years older than that of female breast cancer. Six tumors out of 7 were located under the areola.
