Undifferentiated endometrial carcinoma (UEC) is a rare and poorly recognized entity, associated with a poor outcome. The clinical, pathologic, and immunohistochemical features of 17 cases diagnosed at our center are described. The median age was 60 yr. Postmenopausal bleeding was the most common presenting symptom (76.9%). Most patients presented with advanced stage (64.7%). PURPOSE: We performed this study to analyze the clinical features and prognosis of Korean patients with liposarcoma.
PATIENTS & METHODS: Between October 1986 and April 2013, 231 patients who were diagnosed with liposarcoma by histologic examination were enrolled in this study.
RESULTS: The distribution of histologic subtypes was well-differentiated (n = 97, 42%), myxoid (n = 74, 32%), dedifferentiated (n = 32, 13.9%), pleomorphic (n = 15, 6.5%), and round-cell liposarcoma (n = 13, 5.6%). BACKGROUND: The immunohistochemical hallmarks of gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are positivity for CD117 (c-kit) and CD34; however, CD117 is not specific for GISTs, and the list of CD117+ tumors/tissues is increasing. Also, MDM2 is known to be amplified in several types of mesenchymal tumors, including liposarcoma.

METHODS: Within the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database (2004-2022), we identified M0 RCC nephrectomy patients and assessed pT4 rates.
