BACKGROUND: Gastrointestinal bleeding due to metastasis of an invasive mole to the small intestine is very rare. Most reported cases of metastatic invasive mole are diagnosed after surgery, and lack rich illustrations, which leads to insufficient understanding by clinicians, misdiagnosis, and unnecessary surgeries.

The expected trend in serum beta-human chorionic gonadotropin (β-hCG) following treatment of an undesired heterotopic pregnancy with uterine aspiration and systemic methotrexate is not known. Ovarian pregnancy is an uncommon complication of conception. We report the first case of an intact ovarian pregnancy diagnosed and treated with laparoscopy. With more extensive use of laparoscopy to evaluate abnormal quantitative beta-human chorionic gonadotropin values, intact ovarian pregnancy can be diagnosed and excision accomplished without open exploratory surgery or blood loss.

A woman with disseminated choriocarcinoma and with clinical and biochemical evidence of thyrotoxicosis is described. Only a few cases have been previously reported, and works are referred to showing that high levels of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) probably are responsible for the thyroid-stimulating activity in patients with trophoblastic disease and clinical signs of thyrotoxicosis.

We report a case of infertility investigated by hysterosalpingography in which a clinically unsuspected chronic tubal pregnancy was identified with the predisposing factor of bilateral salpingitis isthmica nodosa.
