PURPOSE: To determine the role of night orthosis use after surgical correction of Dupuytren contracture.
METHODS: We searched MEDLINE, EMBASE, CINAHL, AMED, OTSeeker, and CENTRAL for articles published from inception of the databases to August 2015. Assessment was undertaken by 2 independent reviewers (O.A.S. and S.A.). Methodological quality of randomized controlled trials was assessed using the Cochrane risk of bias tool and the Newcastle-Ottawa instrument.

Equinus contracture often is a complication of trauma, burns, or neurologic deficit. Many patients with contractures secondary to trauma or burns have poor soft tissue, which makes invasive correction a less appealing option. The Ilizarov external fixator has been used as a less invasive attempt to correct equinus contracture. We describe our "dynamic" technique and present a clinical patient series using a variation of the unconstrained Ilizarov technique, which uses elastic bands rather than threaded rods to supply the corrective force.

PURPOSE: To investigate the efficacy and versatility of subcutaneous pedicle rhomboid flap in the treatment of linear or wide postburn scar contractures located in various parts of the body.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: Twenty-three patients (aged 5 to 35 years) with postburn linear and wide scar contractures were treated with 31 subcutaneous pedicle rhomboid flaps. OBJECTIVE: To analyse different factors related to the occurrence of bladder neck contracture (BNC) and to find possible ways of reducing this complication.
METHODS: All putative factors and the numbers of BNC cases were studied with statistical analyses in 1,017 cases that had undergone transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP).
