The prevalence of allergic diseases is increasing worldwide. The highest increase rate is observed in rhinitis allergica. Apart from the anamnesis, the diagnosis relies mainly on skin tests, laboratory analyses and if necessary provocation tests. We report on veterinarians showing itching, swelling, and urticaria on hands and arms after contact with amniotic fluid of cows and/or pigs.
