PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to comprehensively and systematically review the current evidence for orthopaedic treatment of immature and adolescent patients with acute and chronic patellar instability.
METHODS: We searched the online databases PubMed, CINAHL, EMBASE, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, and Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews for relevant publications on patellar instability. All dates and languages were included.

PURPOSE: Acetabular fractures are frequently associated with other skeletal injuries, particularly knee injuries. This study aims to evaluate the relationship between posterior acetabular fractures and knee injury, analyzing its patterns and association with other injuries.
METHODS: This is a retrospective monocentric study in a tertiary referral centre. We reviewed the data (age, sex, type of fracture, and concomitant injury) of patients hospitalized for a posterior acetabular fracture. We report on a 12 years old female patient who had been diagnosed with patellofemoral instability - recurrent dislocation and anterior knee pain. Radiologic evaluation further revealed osteochondritis dissecans (OCD) of the lateral femoral trochlea. She underwent surgical procedure with isolated medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction, no surgical procedure was done to the OCD lesion. Tibiofibular joint injury in children is an uncommon injury. It is usually associated with acute injuries in sports that involve aggressive twisting of the knee, such as soccer and snowboarding. We present a case of a 17-year-old male adolescent who sustained an acute dislocation of the anterolateral tibiofibular joint with routine ambulation, who had a chronic history of subluxation. To our knowledge, this has not been previously reported. BACKGROUND: Avascular necrosis of the femoral head, a known long-term complication following traumatic posterior hip dislocation, can result in femoral head collapse, osteochondral defects, and eventual posttraumatic osteoarthritis.
