Three cases of giant cell fibroblastoma are presented. All three patients were boys younger than four years of age. The neoplasms involved the subcutaneous tissue of the back, perineum, and shoulder, respectively. The tumors were characterized histologically by a mixture of spindle cells and multinucleated giant cells in a myxoid or collagenous background and by the presence of irregular, sinusoidal spaces. All three patients had local recurrence, but all were tumor-free at latest follow-up.

Serum from both normal and T cell-deprived female adult CBA mice shows a background titre of antibody to Corynebacterium parvum of about 2–4 log2 units by a latex agglutination test. Intraperitoneal injection of C. parvum causes a marked rise in titre which reaches its peak after about a month, and a second injection at that time evokes a further response. The carcinogenic effects of dimethylnitrosamine (DMN) and nitrosomethylurea (NMU) injected subcutaneously at 3 different dose levels in European hamsters were studied. DMN induced malignant haemangioendotheliomata of the liver and kidney, hepatocellular carcinomata and, in one animal, a cholangiocellular carcinoma. The effect of NMU was localized at the site of administration and resulted in subcutaneous fibrosarcomata, carcinosarcomata or epidermal carcinomata.
