Encapsulated papillary carcinoma (EPC) and solid papillary carcinoma (SPC) are distinctive variants of intraductal papillary carcinomas, each accounting for <1% of breast carcinomas. Here we report a composite carcinoma consisting of EPC and SPC. A 73-year-old woman was found to have a high density mass in the left breast on mammogram. We report the case of 60-year-old woman who was found to have concurrent parathyroid carcinoma with severe clinical manifestations of primary hyperparthyroidism in addition to an incidental papillary thyroid carcinoma. We describe a 3 generation family with members affected with papillary renal cell carcinoma, an uncommon histological type of renal cell carcinoma. Multiple tumors of varying size were present in both kidneys of affected family members. The disorder was not linked to polymorphic markers on chromosome 3p and there was no loss of heterozygosity at loci on 3p in renal tumors. BACKGROUND: Malignant change of intralaryngeal ectopic thyroid tissues to papillary thyroid cancer is extremely rare.
METHOD: A case that was successfully managed with a conservation surgery of the larynx and an interval total thyroidectomy is presented.
CONCLUSION: High index of suspicion and optimised surgery yields the best outcome as demonstrated in the description.

PURPOSE: The aim of this study was to report the clinical and histopathological features of an eyelid metastasis in a 70-year-old male with no prior medical history.
METHODS: A 70-year-male presented with a painless, hard, red nodular growth in his left lower medial eyelid of 6 months duration, involving the canaliculus and punctum. He did not complain of any other ocular or systemic abnormality. The clinical differential diagnosis included lymphoma or a primary adnexal tumour. The lesion was excised under local anaesthetic cover and sent for routine histopathological analysis.
