BACKGROUND: Impaired movement of the cricoarytenoid joint with hoarseness and immobility of the vocal ligament may occur as a consequence of laryngeal trauma and joint disease. Little is known to date about the cricoarytenoid joint capsule and its role in joint pathology.

Capsulotomy in primary Salter's osteotomy shaped by T or + and is difficult to tighten joint capsule. A new technique or L-shaped incision i.e., a L-shaped incision on the right hip and a reversed L-shaped incision on the left is designed to incise and sew the capsule. This technique can make the acetabulum fully exposed, and the capsule can be conveniently tightened with overlapping sutures. When it is combined with modified external fixation, redislocation after operation can be avoided.

This report provides the first representative images of an intracranial osteochondroma with a cystic component mimicking cystic meningioma. The lateral capsular sign is a simple radiographic finding visible on routine anteroposterior knee x-ray near the tibial articular surface at the lateral point of the lateral tibial plateau. The lateral capsular sign is a flake of bone superior and posterior to the insertion of the iliotibial tract, and represents an avulsion of the meniscotibial portion of the lateral capsular ligament. A positive lateral capsular sign implies disruption of the lateral capsule and a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament. These findings are illustrated by clinical examples.

This is a report about bilateral dislocations of the knee joints in one patient with arterial and venous stop because of endothelial lesions and thrombosis of the popliteal vessels on both sides. After reconstruction of circulation by means of vena saphena, the disrupted knee ligaments were also sutured. Large ventral exposure of the knee joint is recommended for both reconstruction of vessels and ligaments.

In acetabular fractures, the size of a significant posterior wall fragment remains undefined as it affects joint stability. The purpose of this study was to quantitatively evaluate fragment size and hip stability in cadaveric specimens after serial osteotomies.
