Obstructed Hemi Vagina with Ipsilateral Renal Agenesis (OHVIRA) syndrome is a rarely encountered müllerian duct anomaly. Delayed diagnosis is common due to normal onset of puberty and menstruation. A delay in diagnosis and management of syndesmotic injuries can result in a complex treatment challenge, leading to poorer clinical results and higher rates of unplanned, syndesmotic-related primary operations and reoperations. This article presents a simple and reproducible algorithm with case examples for the management of syndesmotic injuries with delay in diagnosis to help guide surgeons when determining the best treatment strategies for this complex injury.

This study aims to examine the duration and rate of delayed diagnosis in Charcot foot. We systematically reviewed articles published in Medline, SCOPUS, and Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health Literature to identify articles discussing delayed or misdiagnosis of Charcot foot. Random-effects models were generated to determine the average time from symptom onset to correct diagnosis (diagnostic delay duration) and proportion of patients misdiagnosed prior to being correctly diagnosed (delayed diagnosis rate). We report the case of an 84-year-old man admitted to ICU with symptoms/signs occurring after upper respiratory airways disease. BACKGROUND: The association between coeliac disease (CD) and neoplasms has been long established, but few data are available about the risk factors. The aim of this paper is to estimate the risk of developing a neoplasm among non diagnosed coeliac patients and to evaluate if this risk correlates with the age of patients at diagnosis of coeliac disease.
