BACKGROUND: Small bowel adenocarcinoma (SBA) is a rare cancer with limited treatment strategies beyond first-line platinum-based combination therapy and no established second-line standard. Our recent retrospective study showed that Nectin-4 is frequently highly expressed in SBA and is associated with poorer outcomes, providing a biological rationale for evaluating enfortumab vedotin-a Nectin-4-targeted antibody-drug conjugate. PLEKHA7 is a recently characterized component of the cytoplasmic region of epithelial adherens junctions (AJ). ETHNOPHARMACOLOGICAL RELEVANCE: The Chinese Herbal Prescription JieZe-1(JZ-1), added and subtracted from Yihuang Decoction, a famous formula in the 12th year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty, has a clear effect on Genital Herpes (GH) and no obvious adverse reactions occur clinically. JZ-1 also has preventive and therapeutic effects on Trichomonas vaginitis, Candida albicans vaginitis and GH in vitro and in vivo experiments.

We report the case of a 68-year-old man who developed a sigmoidorectal fistula after marked response to enfortumab vedotin for advanced bladder cancer. Cryptorchidism is a congenital abnormality resulting in increased rates of infertility and testicular cancer. We used cryptorchidism model mice that presented with the translocation of the left testis from the scrotum to the abdominal cavity. Mice underwent the surgical procedure of the left testis at day 0 and were sacrificed at days 3, 5, 7, 14, 21, and 28 post-operatively. The weight of the left cryptorchid testis decreased significantly at days 21 and 28.
